Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 1, 2026  ·  Last Reviewed: June 1, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our website or engaging our coaching services. They explain what you can expect from us, what we ask of you, and how our working relationship is governed. We've written them in plain language wherever possible — but where legal precision matters, we've kept it.

1.Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("Client," "you," or "your") and Jonathan Chizick, doing business as TrueNorth Career Partners ("Coach," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting truenorthcareerpartners.com (the "Site") or engaging any of our coaching services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

2.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering a binding agreement to use our Services. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3.Description of Services

TrueNorth Career Partners provides career coaching, job search strategy, personal branding, interview preparation, networking support, and offer negotiation guidance for professionals navigating career transitions and job searches. Services are delivered through one-on-one sessions conducted via video conference, phone, or in person. The Site also provides general career resources and educational content.

4.Nature of Coaching — Important Disclaimers

Please read this section carefully. It defines the scope and limits of what we do.

No guarantee of outcomes. Coaching is professional guidance based on experience. We do not and cannot guarantee any specific result, including job offers, promotions, salary increases, interview outcomes, or career advancement. Results depend on your individual effort, skills, market conditions, employer decisions, and other factors outside our control.

Not professional advice. Our Services are not legal, financial, tax, psychological, medical, or employment advice. Nothing we share should be interpreted as such. For matters requiring licensed professional expertise, please consult a qualified professional.

Not a placement service. TrueNorth Career Partners is not a licensed employment agency, recruiter, staffing firm, or placement service. We do not procure or guarantee employment opportunities.

Independent coaching relationship. The coaching relationship is between you and TrueNorth Career Partners only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any employer referenced in our content or materials.

Educational content. Articles, guides, and other content on the Site are provided for informational purposes only. They reflect the coach's professional opinions and experience and are not authoritative advice for your specific situation.

5.Coaching Services

TrueNorth Career Partners offers the following coaching services:

TrueNorth Kickstart (1-Month Intensive)

A one-month engagement focused on building immediate clarity, a personal brand foundation, and a job search action plan. Delivered over four weekly one-on-one sessions.

TrueNorth Signature (3-Month Partnership)

A full-service, three-month coaching engagement covering all five stages of the TrueNorth Career Method — from blueprint through to signed offer. Includes weekly one-on-one sessions, priority support, networking introductions, interview preparation, and negotiation coaching.

Finish Line Commitment

If a Signature client meets all program conditions described in Section 9 (Client Responsibilities) and does not receive a signed job offer within the three-month engagement period, we will continue to provide support at no additional charge. This extended support is limited to continued interview preparation, offer negotiation guidance, and ad hoc strategy advice, and continues until a signed job offer is received. It does not include additional regularly scheduled weekly sessions beyond the original program scope. A "signed job offer" means a written offer of employment that you have accepted.

To remain eligible for the Finish Line Commitment beyond the initial three-month period, you must continue to meet the client responsibilities set out in Section 9 — including actively pursuing your job search, completing agreed action items, and engaging meaningfully with the coaching process. If you become unresponsive or inactive for 30 or more consecutive days, the Finish Line Commitment will be considered fulfilled and no further support obligations will apply.

Hourly and Custom Engagements

We also offer hourly coaching sessions and custom engagements on a case-by-case basis. Terms for these arrangements — including scope, fees, and refund policy — are agreed upon in writing prior to the engagement beginning and govern in place of any conflicting terms in this document.

6.Session Recording and Transcription

To support the quality and continuity of our coaching sessions, we may record and transcribe sessions using third-party tools, which may include Fathom (fathom.video) and Spinach (spinach.ai). The following applies:

Notification. We will notify you before recording a session. Your continued participation after notification constitutes your consent to the recording and transcription for that session.

Purpose. Recordings and transcripts are used solely for coaching purposes — note-taking, session follow-up, and improving the quality of guidance provided to you. They are not shared publicly or with any third party without your explicit written consent.

Third-party tools. Recording and transcription are handled by the third-party platforms listed above. Your use of our Services is subject to those platforms' respective privacy policies in addition to our own.

Your recordings. You may not record, transcribe, or capture sessions yourself without our prior written consent, as described in Section 14 (User Conduct).

7.Booking, Scheduling, and Sessions

Scheduling. Sessions are booked through Calendly. By booking a session, you agree to Calendly's terms of service and privacy policy.

Cancellation and rescheduling. You may cancel or reschedule a session at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled session will be treated as a no-show.

No-shows. If you miss a scheduled session without at least 24 hours' notice, it will generally be counted as a used session. We understand that genuine emergencies happen — if extenuating circumstances prevented you from attending or giving notice, please reach out promptly and we will consider the situation on a case-by-case basis. This consideration applies to the first such occurrence. Subsequent no-shows, regardless of circumstances, will be counted as used sessions. After three no-shows in total, we reserve the right to terminate the engagement. Fees paid for any unused sessions at the time of termination due to no-shows are non-refundable.

Coach cancellation. If we need to cancel or reschedule a session, we will provide reasonable advance notice and offer an alternative time at no additional cost to you.

8.Fees, Payment, and Refund Policy

Service fees are communicated and agreed upon before the engagement begins. All fees are due in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

TrueNorth Kickstart

The full program fee is due at booking. Once the engagement has begun — defined as the completion of the first session — all fees are non-refundable.

TrueNorth Signature

The full three-month program fee is due in full at booking. The following refund terms apply:

If you accept a job offer and your engagement concludes within the first two months of the program, we will refund the full third-month fee, defined as one-third (1/3) of the total program cost. No refund is issued for any portion of the first two months.

If you accept a job offer during the third month of the program, no refund is issued.

No refunds are issued based on dissatisfaction with outcomes, interview results, or job search progress, as results depend on factors outside our control (see Section 4).

Chargebacks. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute for delivered services is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of the engagement and recovery of associated fees and costs.

Any refunds outside this policy are at our sole discretion and, if granted, will be confirmed in writing.

9.Client Responsibilities

Coaching works best as a genuine partnership. To get the most from the program — and to remain eligible for the Finish Line Commitment described in Section 5 — you agree to the following:

Attend all scheduled weekly sessions. Missing sessions without notice or reasonable cause (see Section 7) will affect your eligibility for the Finish Line Commitment.

Complete agreed action items between sessions. At the end of each session, we will agree on specific tasks and deliverables for the following week. You are responsible for completing these in good faith and on time.

Actively pursue your job search. You agree to actively apply to roles, respond to opportunities, and engage with the job search process throughout the engagement.

Actively engage in the networking process. You agree to participate in networking outreach strategies developed during our sessions, including connecting with contacts, following up on introductions, and building your professional network in alignment with your job search goals.

Provide accurate information. You agree to share truthful and accurate information about your career history, target roles, and job search activity so that coaching guidance is appropriately tailored.

10.Network Introductions

As part of the TrueNorth Signature program, we may facilitate introductions between you and contacts in our professional network. When we make such an introduction, we will disclose to the receiving party that you are a client we are currently working with. These introductions are offered in good faith as a supplementary resource and do not constitute a guarantee of employment, an interview, or any other specific outcome.

11.Confidentiality

Our obligation to you. We treat everything shared during coaching sessions as confidential. We will not disclose your identity, career situation, employer details, compensation information, or session content to any third party without your prior written consent, except as required by law. Network introductions made on your behalf are subject to Section 10.

Your obligation to us. You agree not to share proprietary coaching methodologies, frameworks, templates, or materials provided during the engagement with third parties.

Anonymized content. We may draw on themes, challenges, and insights from coaching conversations to create educational content, blog posts, and social media posts. Any such content is strictly anonymized — we will not include your name, employer, industry, or any other detail that could reasonably identify you without your explicit written consent. This is not a disclosure of confidential information and does not conflict with our confidentiality obligations to you.

Exceptions. Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that is publicly available, independently developed by either party, or disclosed pursuant to a legal obligation.

12.Intellectual Property

Our content. All content on the Site and all coaching materials, frameworks, templates, and guides provided during engagements are the intellectual property of Jonathan Chizick / TrueNorth Career Partners and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from this content without prior written permission.

Personal use. You may use coaching materials shared with you for your own personal career development. You may not share, resell, or redistribute them.

Your materials. You retain full ownership of any documents, materials, or work samples — such as resumes, cover letters, or LinkedIn drafts — that you share with us or that we co-create together during the engagement.

13.Testimonials

We may display client testimonials on the Site or in marketing materials. Testimonials are used only with the client's consent — either written, via email, or through their own public posting of the testimonial (for example, on LinkedIn). We will use first names only unless the client explicitly consents to additional identifying information. You may request removal of your testimonial at any time by contacting us at contact@truenorthcareerpartners.com.

14.User Conduct

By using our Services, you agree to:

  • Conduct all interactions with professionalism and mutual respect.
  • Not record, transcribe, or capture coaching sessions in any medium without our prior written consent.
  • Not misrepresent the coaching relationship as an endorsement, reference, or employment relationship.
  • Not use the Site or Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

15.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • TrueNorth Career Partners and Jonathan Chizick shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of employment opportunities, loss of data, or loss of profits, arising from or related to your use of the Services or Site.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid us for the specific engagement that gave rise to the claim.
  • These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory — contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise — and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

16.Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

17.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TrueNorth Career Partners and Jonathan Chizick from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

18.Termination

Either party may terminate the coaching engagement at any time. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue Services to any individual at our discretion. Upon termination:

  • If we terminate without cause, any pre-paid but undelivered sessions will be refunded on a pro-rated basis.
  • If termination is due to your violation of these Terms — including excessive no-shows under Section 7 — fees paid for unused sessions are non-refundable.

19.Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services, including Calendly, YouTube, Fathom, and Spinach. These links are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.

20.Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at truenorthcareerpartners.com/privacy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

21.Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises from these Terms or the Services, we ask that you contact us first at contact@truenorthcareerpartners.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it — most issues can be worked out directly. If the dispute cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration under JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules, conducted in English in the State of Texas. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. Each party bears its own costs unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.

22.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

23.Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

24.Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TrueNorth Career Partners regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.

25.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, please discontinue use of the Services.
